Unlike conventional chickens, Free Range Chickens are housed in large runs allowing them to grow at a healthier rate free of any artificial lighting which is normally used to obtain maximum growth of the chicken.
The major advantage of a Free Range Chicken over a conventional chicken is that it grows more naturally and in a healthier environment. No antibiotics or prescribed additives are given to the chicks to increase unnatural growth prior to slaughtering. This allows the poultry to be larger in white meat and free of growth hormones in the feeding process. |
